AOC Made an Excellent Point About the Right Wing, and What’s Happening in Los Angeles.
It’s all about the narrative.
It’s been apparent in recent months, and many might even argue since she first appeared on the national stage, that New York Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is the heir apparent to the movement that Bernie Sanders started. It is a matter of time before she decides to announce she is running for either the Presidency or challenging Chuck Schumer for his seat in the senate. With the platform she has built, it should come as no surprise that AOC decided she was going to use her platform to speak on what is happening in the city of Los Angeles.
Following ICE raids in their communities the people have fought back, and in a section of Downtown LA protests have taken place that Donald Trump decided warranted the response of the United States military. For all intents and purposes, the President of the United States intends to make an example out of the city of Los Angeles, stoking even more of a response and anger by sending in troops that everyone ranging from the governor to the police chief of the city says were not necessary.
