An Iraq War Veteran Got to Confront George W. Bush.

It’s an exchange certainly worth watching.

There’s a lot of ugliness in the news lately, no doubt about it. More often than not we are barraged with all kinds of negative headlines that leave us feeling cynical, angry, and defeated. It’s as painful as it is infuriating to watch so much unnecessary suffering, particularly during this pandemic with millions essentially being left to fend for themselves while the government nickels and dimes them. Meanwhile, multi-billion dollar businesses like airlines get bailed out yet again. But every once in a while, I still manage to find a video or a news story that renews the will to fight in me. The latest involves a heartbreaking, but wonderfully powerful exchange between an Iraq War veteran and none other than the man himself who sent him there, George W. Bush.

At a scheduled speech this past week, Bush was confronted by veteran by the name of Michael Prysner, who began protesting and shouting:

“Mr. Bush, when are you going to apologize for the million Iraqis that are dead because you lied? You lied about weapons of mass destruction! You lied about connections to 9/11! You lied about Iraq being a threat! You sent me to Iraq! You sent me to Iraq in 2003! My friends are dead. Joshua Casteel…YOU KILLED PEOPLE! YOU LIED! YOU LIED ABOUT…
