After their Super Bowl Win, the Philadelphia Eagles Turned Down the White House Visit.

It’s refreshing to see organizations making a statement.

When you consider it, I think we can all agree there are some inherent ties and links between sports and politics.

The United States has a rich history of it that we all know of, and it makes sense given the way athletes and the sports they play are viewed by the public. They have a platform, and naturally there are going to be people courageous enough to speak out on the issues that matter to them and the communities they’re from and playing in.

Well, none other than the entire Philadelphia Eagles organization after their Super Bowl win over the Kansas City Chiefs decided to become one of the latest in a long history of athletes making a statement.

They turned down a visit to the White House.

“…On Feb. 23, The U.S. Sun reported that the Eagles made the decision to skip the White House visit this year.

“A source at the Eagles, who spoke anonymously, stressed that conversations about refusing a visit with President Donald Trump after beating the Kansas City Chiefs have already occurred,” the outlet reported.
