As we all know, yesterday was Juneteenth.

The now federal holiday commemorating the end of slavery here in the United States, and apparently for President Donald Trump, it should come as no surprise that in his view, it’s one holiday too many.

Jacob Shamsian with Business Insider writes:

“…“Too many non-working holidays in America,” Trump wrote on Truth Social late Thursday. “It is costing our Country $BILLIONS OF DOLLARS to keep all of these businesses closed.”

The president said that the frequency of holidays “must change” and that workers didn’t want them, either.

“The workers don’t want it either!” he continued. “Soon we’ll end up having a holiday for every once working day of the year. It must change if we are going to, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”…”

Of course, Shamsian goes on to remind us in his article that during his campaign that President Donald Trump himself promised to make Juneteenth a federal holiday himself.

But here we are, surprise surprise, and the President remembers how he actually feels.
