The war on women and reproductive rights continues.

In Texas, a woman is charged with murder for her “illegal abortion”.

Francisco Jimenez with MyRGV News writes:

“According to the Starr County Sheriff’s Office, Lizelle Herrera, 26, was arrested and served with an indictment “on the charge of Murder after Herrera did then and there intentionally and knowingly cause the death of an individual by self-induced abortion.”’

In the brief article, Jimenez went on to say that she is being held on $50,000 bond. Reality is beginning to sink in, isn’t it?

This is just the start. Herrara is just one of many women in the coming months and years who will be charged in Texas and the many other red states seeking to implement the same draconian policies who will face these charges. The mere crime of not wanting to be pregnant, and wanting control of ones own bodily autonomy.
