I will never forget what our outbreak was like, and the Governor needs to be held accountable for hiding what his policies caused.

Recently, after weeks of mounting allegations, a top aide to Governor Andrew Cuomo was recorded admitting that his administration had covered up the real death toll in New York State nursing homes, withholding data because they feared federal investigations after mandating that nursing homes accept Covid positive patients.

I work in a nursing home in New York State so for me, a story has never felt so personal.

I am a certified nursing assistant and activities aide, fortunate to work in one of, if not the top rated nursing homes in the entire area, and I genuinely cannot imagine working…

I mean, whatever works?

Quite literally from the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, the GOP response to it has been what one could only describe as even worse and disorganized than we might have expected. The mass death, the mismanagement, and devastating politicization of a pandemic has had untold ramifications the country will be dealing with for decades to come. …

They are absolutely desperate to keep her out of any position of power.

Maddie McGarvey for The New York Times

It’s been surreal to watch the special election for Ohio’s 11th district. After polling indicated former Ohio State Senator, Cleveland Councilwoman, and national campaign co-chair and top surrogate for Bernie Sanders, Nina Turner was holding a nearly insurmountable lead, Hillary Clinton was among the first to raise the alarm for the Democratic establishment. While her endorsement of Shontel Brown, Nina’s opponent who was trailing by 35 points seemed like it was purely out of spite, it proved to be a rallying cry for corporate Democrats and a sign of where they should focus their time, energy, and money in their…

I’m not getting my hopes up, but there are some interesting signs.

CHIP SOMODEVILLA/GETTY IMAGES

Considering there has been a significant amount of time and energy devoted to it, I’ve been following the evolution of the infrastructure debate among our lawmakers and the forthcoming bill(s).There’s no denying I have had my issues with the way everything has moved forward, whether it be Biden’s silly, premature, “mission accomplished” message that just left us frustrated and confused, or — most importantly of all — the bipartisan version which is currently set to hand over hundreds of billions of dollars worth of infrastructure to private companies. As many of us saw coming, all the concessions in the world…

Where has he been for the entirety of his term thus far?

Joe Biden Drew Angerer/Getty Images

Biden’s tenure as President hasn’t exactly been full of stellar accomplishment. Ever since the Covid-19 relief bill, Biden has been unable and unwilling to pressure lawmakers even amongst his own party to get behind his agenda. Though, the fact that the two Senators from Delaware who happen to be his closest allies in the Senate voted against the $15 minimum wage seems to lend reason to believe it was never his agenda to begin with. All that being said, one thing we can rely dependably upon Democrats for is excuses as to why they can’t seem to get anything done…

Things are not looking good at all for Senator Sinema.

Thankfully, things are not looking good at all for Kyrsten Sinema.

To be clear, I would thoroughly enjoy never having to talk about the Arizona Senator again, but considering the fact that she has positioned herself as the face of the corporate Democrats and their obstructionist movement, it’s unavoidable. Having said that, I’ve found myself wondering what her true motives are. Does she actually believe what she’s saying? Is she even running for re-election and if so, will it be as a Democrat? …

We shouldn’t be excited about billionaires and their joy rides.

Well, Jeff Bezos finally made it to space.

The richest man on earth fulfilled his dream, and took a joy ride on a spacecraft owned and operated by his company Blue Origin. Frankly, I thought a lot of my frustration about billionaires and their space pet projects was released earlier this month after Virgin Group’s founder Richard Branson made it to space. I didn’t think I even had the energy to address Bezos’ trip. That is, of course, until I happened to stumble upon the comments he made afterwards.

In his interview following his ten minute flight, Bezos said:

“I…

And I would argue they know it, too.

It feels as though each election season seems to start sooner than the last. With pressure looming on Democrats to actually pass a meaningful piece of legislation in the coming months, there’s no denying they are feeling that pressure — at least in part — because their focus is already beginning to shift to campaign season. But as campaigns loom, I can’t help thinking about the position that Democrats continue to put their voters in, time and time again.

You wouldn’t know it by the way they act, but Democrats have control of the House, the Senate, and the White…

The United States should probably look at its own problems before focusing on other nations.

Susan Walsh/AP

In the media recently, there has been a considerable amount of attention focusing on protests in Cuba over vaccine shortages and economic problems exacerbated by Covid, which — if we’re being honest — also has a lot to do with the fact that the United States has reimplemented sanctions against the nation under the Trump administration that Biden has yet to lift. Of course, like clockwork the United States has not missed the opportunity to weigh in, and rhetorically encourage the continued protests against the regime they would like to see toppled. …

Because of course he did.

Alex Wong/Getty Images

Ever since Joe Biden took power, West Virginia’s Senator Joe Manchin has essentially taken it upon himself to become the de-facto President. As everything unfolds it’s been impossible not to discuss how he is more than willing to become the face of a broader obstructionist movement within the party, and serve as an obstacle for virtually every single progressive policy proposal. His obstruction serves as a threat not just to what’s left of American “democracy”, but the future of the planet as we know it as well, so it’s admittedly impossible not to loathe him and everything he represents.

Unfortunately…
