49ers Wide Receiver Ricky Pearsall Was Shot in an Attempted Robbery, and it’s Turning Pretty Political.
Anyone who knows me knows my love of the Buffalo Bills and football in general. Aside from the normal season I love watching the draft, training camp, the anticipation of a fresh start at the beginning of the season, how intelligent you have to be to succeed at a higher level, all of it. Football is fall for me. The ultimate embodiment of my favorite time of year, and it’s just my favorite.
He hasn’t played a down in the NFL yet but of course I was familiar with San Francisco 49ers rookie receiver Ricky Pearsall from the pre-draft process, and he was on my radar for the Bills to hopefully target in the 2nd or third rounds before the 9ers picked him up in the first. Unfortunately, Pearsall’s name came back up when it was reported that he was shot in an attempted robbery over his Rolex Watch yesterday in San Francisco when making his way over to a signing event.
Over the course of a couple hours rumors were circulating about where exactly he was shot and what happened. It wasn’t until a statement from the 49ers was released that we knew he had been shot in the chest, and was in serious but stable condition.
